Perhaps a bit Scary? Fat or thin?
Brilliant orange, ghostly white
or witchy green?
Should the stem be long or short?
Or curled wildly about?
Should a Jack have ears or arms and legs?
Nose or no nose? Perhaps a hat?
Why should a Jack be this or that?
Maybe a Jack is whatever it is
and you don't know it until
you lay down the knife and step back...
To me, Jacks are a bit of mischief
coming to life as if by magick...
